Global Solar Council

Expanding The Worldwide Deployment Of Solar Energy - The Global Solar Council (GSC) was a CEO-level coalition of leading international companies in the photovoltaic solar value chain. Its mission was to promote the global development and growth of solar energy. It was a short-term campaign set up in 2012 with Sustainability Consult supporting on media relations.

For the launch of the Global Solar Council, Sustainability Consult prepared press releases, handled media outreach and set up a launch strategy to gain maximum visibility. The press releases were written in English and German and the media relations were carried out in both languages.

The media outreach resulted in the publication of many articles on GSC and global solar trade issues. Our contacts with the energy and other trade media led to wide international media coverage and many interview requests for the CEOs. Sustainability Consult also generated speaker opportunities at global solar events.
