New Epicerol® Video Launched During RSB General Assembly

Epicerol Video Sneak Preview 8 November 2016On Tuesday 8 November, Solvay’s brand new Epicerol® video was screened at the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) General Assembly in Hanoi, Vietnam. Epicerol® is manufactured by Solvay subsidiary Advanced Biochemical Thailand Co., Ltd. (ABT).

The Epicerol® video, filmed at a palm oil plantation in Thailand, looks at the environmental profile of the 100% bio-based epichlorohydrin (ECH), as well as the sustainability of the manufacturing process. ABT Managing Director Jean-Luc Préat introduced the film, which was shown at the RSB General Assembly welcome reception.

Last year, ABT became the first bio­-based chemical operator in Asia to obtain the RSB certification. ABT recently became an RSB member, joining the Industrial biofuel/biomaterial producers in Chamber 2 of RSB’s seven chambers.
