#BioSustyComms: Sustainability Consult Leads Training for Bio-based SMEs

Earlier this month, Senior Consultant Bárbara Mendes-Jorge ran a training event as part of the BioBase4SME programme, co-organised with our partners at NNFCC. ‘Communicating Sustainability: Helping Bioeconomy SMEs Boost Their Credibility and Visibility’ took place at the York Science Park on 8 November.

The session asked participants to pinpoint their communications gaps and consider the unique challenges of communicating about sustainability and the bioeconomy. The interactive day also saw participants come together to develop effective communications strategies.

The power of social media was discussed – so naturally, live-tweeting at the event was encouraged, under hashtag #BioSustyComms.

Sustainability Consult hopes to run a similar workshop in 2018 – look out for announcements.
