Following the official launch of the 2017 Call for Proposals, on Friday 28 April 2017, the BBI JU organised its fourth Info Day and Brokerage Event in Brussels. Philippe Mengal, Executive Director of the BBI JU kicked off the day, highlighting the organisation’s achievements. According to an independent study, most BBI JU 2020 targets have already been met, and in some cases, expectations have already been exceeded.
The 10th International Conference on Bio-based Materials will take place this month, on 10-11 May 2017, in Maternushaus, Cologne, Germany. A unique opportunity for bioeconomy players to meet, this year’s event builds on the previous years’ success, and is expected to welcome 250 participants and 30 exhibitors.

The Green Chemistry & Commerce Council (GC3) and InnoCentive have launched a global competition to identify innovators developing preservatives with improved environmental health and safety profiles for use in cosmetics, personal care and household products. A prize pool of $175,000 is available.
